Intake call: we will chat about your books, what you need (and what you don't) to determine what service is right for you and if we are a good match. On-boarding: you will hand over the reigns (books) to me! I will review your existing bookkeeping system (or lack thereof) or create a new one. We will get you set up with and AgExpert subscription if needed and I'll fix any mistakes or issues and create a custom chart of accounts to keep track of your income and expenses. Rinse and repeat: Every month I will enter your transactions, reconcile the accounts and keep you in the loop of what's happening and ask questions as I go. Peace of Mind: sit back and chillax - I got you. No more stressing over that pile of papers. 😎

Clients each have their own personal AgExpert subscription which I will have access to. All transactions will be linked in real time via a secure process from your financial institution. You will always be able to access your records and reporting giving you up to date information and the ability to review at any time. I will do all the setup for you, however you will ultimately be responsible for the file, your data and the renewal.

Based on the needs of your farm operation, we will determine the appropriate service level and scope. I base my fees on a number of different variables including number of transactions and detail required. Most bookkeeping services are provided at a recurring monthly rate, but others may be based on an hourly rate depending on the nature of the request.

The Quick Answer is No - Given my experience and passion for helping family farms I focus my attention on just that. I do work with some agribusinesses but would need to determine if it's a fit prior to committing. While I do not provide small business bookkeeping, I am glad to refer you to my trusted network of small business bookkeepers.

No - I leave that to the experts! I do not provide any income tax, compilation, review, or auditing services. What I can offer is preparing your taxes to be prepared - that is, I know what is needed and review your records to ensure it's all ready to go so your accountant doesn't have to ask you for more info. If they do, they can come straight to me and I handle the request. I am glad partner with your current tax accountant to provide accurate, well-organized information in a timely manner and assist them in their work. If you need help finding a trusted accountant, I have some great connections and would be glad to make referral to someone I feel would be a fit. - Just ask!
